Scott Twp, PA - Age 74, of Scott Township, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Beloved sister and best friend of Linda Aspinall. Daughter of Alberta and C. Raymond Aspinall (deceased). Kathy was devoted to her French bulldog, Bruno.
Kathy fought a courageous battle against ovarian cancer for almost five years, keeping a positive attitude throughout. Her oncologist, Dr. Robert P. Edwards, tried his hardest to keep Kathy going.
Kathy was a graduate of Chartiers Valley High School and had two degrees from Clarion State University. For several years, Kathy sold textbooks for Silver Burdett Publishing. Throughout her career, she dedicated most of her professional service to teaching Social Studies, followed by her role as librarian for the Chartiers Valley School District. Kathy especially enjoyed summer vacations at Stone Harbor, NJ. She also took pleasure in visiting New York City for shopping, dining, sight-seeing, and Broadway shows.
All are welcome, Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M., at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Celebration of Life Service to be on Friday, October 24, 2025, 11 A.M., at Unity Presbyterian Church (formerly Wallace Memorial Presbyterian), 1146 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Everyone please meet at church. Interment private.
