KATHLEEN "KITTY"

Age 79, of Whitehall (formerly of Overbrook), passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family, on Monday, November 10, 2025. Kitty was born on April 30, 1946, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Francis and Jean Storino.

Kitty was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late Joseph R. Ranft; loving mother of Dennis (Terri), Lori (Harry) Zaremba, Bobbie Jo and Joey, Jr. (Karin); and cherished grandmother of Lindsey, Kasey (Mike), Juliana(Austin), Harry, Jr. (Destany), Emma, Karly (Matthew), Joey, III, Justin and Jacob; great-grandmother of Leila, Zayden, Elouise and Reign; sister to Fran (Chris) Storino, the late Dolly (Joe) Mazzari and Tim (Marita) Storino; and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Kitty was a trusted and nurturing babysitter, caring for over 100 children in her lifetime. However, she found the most joy in being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing all the little moments that her time with them had to offer. She never missed a sporting event her grandchildren were involved in. She enjoyed baking cookies with her granddaughter. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

Relatives and friends are invited to join with the family for Visitation from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., on Thursday, November 13, 2025, and Friday, November 14, from 1-4 p.m., at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
