KATHLEEN MARY (MURPHY)
Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on January 22, 1943, the daughter of Patrick J. and Nora Murphy. Kathy was extremely proud of her 100% Irish heritage and was an accomplished Irish stepdancer who danced in St. Patrick's Day parades and various Irish functions. She worked most recently as a secretary in the Bethel Park School District.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Louis; her sister, Peggy McCormick of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Josephine (the late Ed) Murphy; her sons, Michael (Melinda), David (Patti), Mark ( Stephanie), Scott (Allison); her adored and loved grandchildren, Lidia, Patrick, Natale, Louis, Nikolas, Anthony, Nora, Edison and Elizabeth; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy loved her "daughters she never had" and was ever so grateful to them for being there for her. She will be missed dearly.
Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the DAVID J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, 6364 Library Road (Rt. 88), Library. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10:00 a.m., in St. Thomas More Church. Burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
