KATHLEEN

Kathleen Nedzesky, age 72, of McMurray (formerly of Castle Shannon), passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026.

Born on July 11, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Cheberenchick) and Anthony (Skip) Nedzesky, Jr.

Kathy was the beloved sister of Linda (Richard) Descutner, Robert (Kathleen) Nedzesky, William Nedzesky, Douglas (Lynn) Nedzesky, Shirley Nedzesky, and Anthony Nedzesky III (Adam Petro). She was a loving aunt to Laura O'Neill, Kelly Yocom, Douglas Nedzesky, Jr., Andrew Nedzesky, and Danielle Norman. She was very close to her work friends and neighbors, especially best friend Ruthie Scherer.

Kathy retired from the Department of Energy, a branch of the Federal Government. She worked in the Technology Department and Purchasing Department. An avid scuba diver and certified scuba instructor, Kathy had a deep love for the ocean and adventure. She also enjoyed walking many miles in the woods and on the Montour Trail. She was devoted to dogs, especially Chesapeake Bay Retrievers (Cleo, Marcus, and Riley).

In accordance with Kathy's request, there will be no services. Her smile and bright blue eyes will be missed by all who knew her.
