NEISWONGER

KENNETH HARVEY

Affectionately known to many as "Ditty," age 89, of Blawnox, passed away on August 16, 2026, at home.

Born December 13, 1936, in Blawnox, PA, he was the son of the late Dillis and Marie (Miller) Neiswonger; and the loving husband of the late Kay Frances (Roach) Neiswonger.

Ken was a devoted father to Jody Neiswonger and the late Debi Neiswonger; and a loving pap to Alexandra and Andrew Neiswonger. His family was a source of great pride and joy throughout his life, and he treasured the time he spent with them. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Richard Neiswonger; and his sister, Mary Novakowski.

Ditty was a lifelong member of the Blawnox Sportsmen's Club and the Blawnox Athletics Club, where he formed lasting friendships and remained active in the community for many years. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course and also found great enjoyment in bowling, softball, and basketball. A true Pittsburgh sports fan, he faithfully cheered for the Pirates, Steelers, Pitt, and Penn State teams, following each with enthusiasm and pride. His love of sports was matched by the enjoyment he found in being around others, sharing conversation, and taking part in the activities that brought people together. Those who knew Ditty will remember him for his friendly nature, his steady presence, and the genuine care he showed to others.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY LTD., 930 Center Avenue, Blawnox, PA 15238.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Hoboken Presbyterian Church, 921 North Ave., Blawnox, PA 15238. EVERYONE, PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
