BRODERICK

KENNETH L.

Age 77, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on February 6, 2026. Kenneth was raised in Pittsburgh's Beechview neighborhood by parents, Daniel and Hazel Broderick. He was a graduate of Robert Morris University.

Kenneth's life was devoted to family and country. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1966 and completed two tours during the Vietnam War, serving as a para rescue jumper. His bravery and devotion to service did not end with active duty, he also served in the Air Force Reserves 911th Airlift wing. During his time he rose through the ranks and retired as a Master Sergeant. Afterwards, he would continue working with aircraft, serving a 15-year career with U.S. Air.

When he was out of the hanger, he spent his time planning family get-togethers such as barbecues and picnics that everyone was invited to. More than anything he wished to see people smile. All that knew him, from the residents at Overlook Green to the children in his life, could tell you he was a kind and funny person. He will be greatly missed.

Kenneth is survived by his children, David Broderick (Ronica Craig), Chris Brodrick, Bernadette Dickson, Matthew Broderick and Kelly Broderick; grandchildren, Carson Kelly, Hayden Broderick, Brenna Bioni, Bryson Bioni, Brock Bioni and Kaidra Marian.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Hazel Broderick; and his spouse, Sharon Ann Broderick.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on February 21, 2026, at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

Memorial contributions can be made to UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation. https://www.givetochildrens.org/
