LAWRENCE "LARRY"
Was born in Pittsburgh February 3, 1954, son of the late Harry Albert Jenks and Kathleen Snyder Jenks. He grew up in Pleasant Hills and recently lived in Canonsburg and Washington. He passed unexpectedly on May 14, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
Larry was a 1972 graduate of Thomas Jefferson H.S. Following honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, he worked at U.S. Steel. More recently, he was well-respected across Southwestern PA as owner-operator of Jenks Heating and Cooling, L.L.C. He was an avid car enthusiast; enjoyed NASCAR and Formula 1, carpentry and masonry including restoration of older homes, and he volunteered at Ground Zero following September 11.
He is survived by son, Bryan James Jenks; siblings Harry, Gary, and Kathleen; several nieces/nephews; and was "Pap" to Anthony, Jayla, and Aryona Brown. A memorial service is planned for Fall 2026 when Larry's cremains will be interred at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
