LEAH SUSAN "SUE"


Age 71, of Hampton, died peacefully on May 3, 2026. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 20, 1955, daughter of the late Alfred William Evans and Phyllis Argarl Evans. Beloved partner for 42 years of Janice "Jan" Steigner. Sister of Jane (Dean) Jensen and the late Pene (Stan) Brzozowski and David (Jackie) Evans. Also survived by one niece, four nephews and ten great-nephews and great-nieces.



Family and friends are welcomed Saturday, 1-4 p.m., at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Services will follow visitation at 4 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at a future date, with private interment to follow in Monongahela Cemetery.



A U.S. Army Veteran, Sue was a graduate of Penn State University and earned a Master's degree from Waynesburg University. She was a Registered Nurse with St. Margaret Hospital in Aspinwall for many years and retired from UPMC East Hospital in Monroeville. Sue also was a longtime professor of Informatics at both Chatham University and Wake Forest University.
