LUCILLE (BARISH-MARTYS)

Age 93, of Canonsburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Lucille was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Barish from Bulger, PA. She enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters listening to polka music at all the local dances. During those early years, she met her loving husband, Frank Martys. They wed in February of 1954. She was a loving mother to Diane Scandolari and the late Darlene Pirmez. She was a devoted caregiver to her husband and children after many years of working at Superior Valve. After Frank Martys passed away, due to illness, she later married Michael Donella, who also preceded her in death. During those years, she spent time playing and laughing with her grandchildren: Vincent (Nika) Scandolari, Alissa Hildebrand, and the late Fabria Scandolari. She spent many years watching them grow and enjoying time together at the park or eating out. She loved hosting holiday dinners with her family. She then turned her spoiling to her great-grandchildren: Brianna Scandolari, Lillyana Hildebrand, Ezekiel Hildebrand, and Taliah Friday. She had celebrated her last few birthdays surrounded by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and her brother, Eddie Barish, and sisters Marianne DiBacco and Jean Bish. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Dorothy Kovach, Martha Kreig, Joseph, Robert and Andrew Barish. A special thanks to her former son-in-law, Albino Scandolari for his loving care and support. Family and friends received on Friday, from 2-7 p.m. at the BRUSCO-FALVO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 214 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington (412-381-2323). Funeral Mass on Saturday, at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church/St. Oscar Romero Parish, 317 W. Pike St., Canonsburg, PA 15317. All are invited to meet at the church.
