LUISA (CHIODO)

Luisa (Chiodo) Greco, age 95, of Dormont, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. She was born November 9, 1929, in Campana, Italy, a daughter of the late Angelo Raffaele and Rose (Manfredi) Chiodo. Luisa was the beloved wife of the late Nicola Greco for 51 years prior to his passing in 2001. She is survived by her son, Frank D. Greco, MD and his wife, Maria (Costa) Greco, MD; two grandsons, Nicholas J. Greco, MD and his wife Megan Quimper, MD and Joseph A. Greco and his wife Erin C. Greco; two great-grandsons, Nicholas and Matthew Greco; two brothers, Jospeh Chiodo and Mario Chiodo; and a sister, Adda Amleto. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Peter A. Chiodo and Frank Chiodo. Luisa worked as a seamstress for the Sisters of Mercy and Mercy Hospital for over 40 years. After retirement, she dedicated her time to taking care of her husband and family. Luisa also loved to spend time in her garden and cook. She was best known for her lasagna, homemade bread, and the Italian pastries that she made for the holidays. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family. Family and Friends are welcome on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Catherine Labouré Parish, St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
