LYNN (BUCHLMAYER)

It is with incredible sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn (Buchlmayer) Petrie, on June 3, 2025, of Ross Township. Born January 29, 1959 to the late Eleanor "Toots" and Chief Nicholas P. Buchlmayer, Jr., she was raised in West View Borough. She was a 1977 graduate of North Hills High School, where she was an elite softball player. Lynn was employed by Equitable Gas and People's Gas, retiring after 38 years of service.

She and her family enjoyed cruising, vacationing in Florida and most importantly, spending time with each other. She loved her pets and never failed to stop and pet any dog walking by.

She quietly battled Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma for six years with determination, grace and her outstanding sense of humor. She never let it get the best of her. She cherished her small, yet very close circle of friends.

Lynn is survived by her husband and best friend of 35 years, Rich; daughter and love of her life, Ashley (Tom) Jones; and new love, six month old granddaughter, Presley Rae Jones.

Friends received on Friday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME INC., 388 Center Avenue, West View, PA 15229, where a Service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
