LYNNE F.
Age 86, of Mount Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025. She was the loving mother of Jeffrey D. Wohleber; former wife of David L. Wohleber; sister of the late Donald R. Farr (survived by Mary Jane), daughter of the late Helen L. and Donald E. Farr.
Lynne was a graduate of Allegheny College with a Masters in Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh. She was a sorority member of the Alpha Xi Delta and a societal member of Beta Phi Mu. She was the 2009 Canon John W. Davis Award winner for outstanding contributions in the field of Episcopal Church history. At various times in her life, she was the coordinator of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania American Lung Association's preschool program, South Hills Textile Arts Guild president, a member of Marquis Who's Who and the president of the Bower Hill Braillists Foundation. One of her fondest memories was of being a soprano singer in the Mendelssohn Choir. She worked for many years as the Archivist of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh and as the Archivist with St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was also a long time member at Bower Hill Community Church, where she volunteered for multiple committees. Lynne had an affinity for birds and even had her property turned into a certified wildlife habitat.
All are welcome on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10 A.M. until the time of her Memorial Service at 10:30 A.M., at Bower Hill Community Church, 70 Moffett St., Pittsburgh, PA 15243. Interment will be held privately. Arrangements entrusted to FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS, Bethel Park, 412-835-1860. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bower Hill Community Church at the address listed above.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
