MARGARET M. McQUADE Obituary

McQUADE

MARGARET M.

Formerly of Banksville and Scott Twp., she peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, one day before her 91st birthday. Margaret is the beloved wife of the late John W. McQuade; loving mother of Patty McQuade, Jim (Lisa) McQuade, and the late John McQuade; proud grandmother of Mark McQuade and the late Connor McQuade; caring sister of the late Bernard (Judy) McAuley; and also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a trained dancer, who apprenticed in New York City to further her dance education. After returning home, she devoted herself to sharing her gift with the community, teaching dance to countless young children. Ballet was her great love, and she was a dedicated and inspiring teacher, who touched many lives through her artistry and encouragement.

Beyond dance, Margaret enjoyed reading, music, and adventure, and was known for her great sense of humor. Above all else, the greatest joy of her life was her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren deeply, loving them more than life itself. Margaret also made sure to give the sign of the cross on the forehead to her loved ones to keep them safe after every visit with her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11AM, at Resurrection Parish, St. John Capistran Church, 1610 McMillan Rd., Upper St. Clair, PA 15241.
