MARILYN HILL Obituary
Mt. Lebanon - Marilyn Hill, 75, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025. She was born in Pittsburgh on July 4, 1949, a daughter of the late Ira and Mary (Dalessio) Hill.
She graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1967 and from the University of Pittsburgh in 1970.
After graduation, Marilyn taught Spanish at Taylor Allderdice High School and Reizenstein Middle School for over 20 years and tutored students for many years to follow.
She loved traveling and hosting parties for family and friends. Marilyn was also a wonderful cook and was always planning trips and fun activities for her children during their childhood.
When Marilyn wasn't teaching and spending time with her family, she loved walking her springer spaniel through the trails in Severna Park Maryland and spending time at the ocean. She was also a voracious reader and later in life found great joy meeting with her reading group.
Marilyn was a wonderful friend and everyone that she met loved her.
She is survived by her Ex-Husband, Richard Barbarita; her son, Eric Barbarita; her daughter, Lindsey Morgan (wife of Dave); her grandchildren, Mikayla, Russell and Mitchell Morgan; her sister, Linda Hall; and two stepbrothers, Michael Carter and Jaime Carter.
A gathering to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held at the BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211) on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m., followed immediately by a service of remembrance. Friends are invited to join the family for a light dinner in the Beinhauer Community Room following services.
