Pittsburgh, PA - Born to Sir Alexander and Lady Alice Brackenridge in Newark, NJ, on August 23, 1927, after Janet, before Bruce who died out of order. That's right, her dad was a legit Knight. Later, after Wellesley College, she found herself in Pittsburgh raising four boys. The last of the original Wilmar Dr. mothers, in Fox Chapel, always bound with great friends from there, to the Mews, to Juniper Village. After 25 years teaching history at Ellis, with a booming voice recognized by former students to this day, she retired to explore the world, shy of North Korea. She was, a Democrat amongst Republicans, an atheist raised in the Plymouth Brethren, a Constitutional scholar. She watched Breaking Bad before you did. She cut her own hair. Mercifully survived by Kenneth, Derek, Gregor and Nicholas, their spouses Andrea, Mimi, Betsey and Lissa; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Harry coined G-Mull; Alice (David) carries her great-grandmother's name, Lewis, she took to Borat; Alexa, instructed to keep the cousins connected; Fallon, who opened her wide open mind wider; Ian (JJ), the sole reason to watch a football game start to finish; Sam, the best looking in a good looking family, Max, ever ready with an oversized laugh; and Gwen, wearing her locket and diamonds. Here comes 9-month-old, Colby, and Alice with child, arriving pre-smoothed in love. God, if you are there, which we doubt, we present you the one, the only, Hastie.
