Age 81, of Washington, on Thursday, April 3, 2025. She was born on April 24, 1943, in New Orleans, a daughter of the late Ericsson Reed and Betty Drum Reed. Mariruth and her late husband, James L. Cotter sold crafts, homemade jams, jellies and cookies for many years at Cotter's Country Cottage and flea markets in Verona. Surviving are stepson, Tom (Candy) Cotter; sister, Margaret (Peg) Burnfield; and a brother, David "Rick" (Connie) Reed. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS.
