On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Marlene Irwin, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 87. Marlene was born on January 10, 1939, in Pittsburgh, PA. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Gerald P. Irwin, Sr. They raised three children, Kimberly, Jerry, and Cynthia. She earned her associate degree with high honors and built an appraisal business with Jerry for 35 years. She will be remembered for her sweet demeanor, positive attitude no matter what, and her laughter, which made it so easy to laugh with her. She is survived by her two children, Kimberly (Mark) Marion and Cynthia (Darren) McNeil; her five grandchildren, Gerry (Jessica) Irwin III, Mason (Tara) Marion, Morgan (Joe) Zwickel, and Connor and Cooper McNeil; her six great-grandchildren; her sister, Rosemarie Altman; and nephews, Dan and Greg Altman and Alfredo and Christopher Sararo.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10 a.m., at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish at St. Bernadette Church (245 Azalea Drive, Monroeville).
