Scott Twp. - Age 85, surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 13, 2025, of Scott Township.

Beloved wife of the late Robert John King; loving mother of Robert John King, Jr. (Julie), Joseph Arthur King (Janet) and the late Loretta Alice King; cherished grandmother of Joseph Arthur King, Jr. (Natalie), Mary Evelyn King and Jacob Patrick Gillis; daughter of the late Joseph V. and M. Isabel (Maley) Azzara; sister of the late John James Azzara (survived by Leslie), the late Michael (survived by Bonnie) Azzara and the late Joseph (survived by Grace) Azzara. Mary Alice leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly. Having received a liver transplant in 2001, she was an outspoken advocate for organ donation. She was a passionate volunteer at CORE (Center for Organ Recovery and Education), where she is still considered a legend. She was the president of TRIO (Transplant Recipients International Organization) for many years, which supports the American Liver Foundation by providing support for transplant recipients. With these organizations, her commitment to transplant advocacy went well beyond the Pittsburgh transplant community. She was an accomplished seamstress, and she loved playing bridge with her best friend, Lorraine Novelli, and others. More than anything, she loved having friends and family sitting around her dining room table, enjoying great food, many stories, laughs and fellowship.
