On May 8, 2026, Mary Ann Opacic passed away peacefully, at age 89, at her home in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she had relocated to be closer to family. Born in Millvale, PA, to Joseph and Lillian Eister, Mary Ann was a graduate of Mt. Alvernia High School. She was a 50-year resident of Franklin Park, PA, where she was a longtime active member of St. John Neuman Parish.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald; and her sister, Lillian (Eister) Stivorich. She is survived by her sons, Craig and Brian (Patti).
Mary Ann will be remembered for her love of her family, her faith, animals, and passion for all things Pittsburgh sports.
Funeral services will be private.
