MARY ELLEN TRIGLIA Obituary

TRIGLIA

MARY ELLEN

Age 85, of Bethel Park, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025.

Mary Ellen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank and her dear parents, Lawrence and Helen Hall. She lives in the hearts of her children, Joseph (Margie) Triglia, Suzanne (Mark) Bauer, and Laura (Stephen) Boselowitz; cherished grandmother of Kelsey (Tyler), Ryan, Jason, Maggie, Tyler, and Ben; doting great-grandmother of Jensyn; dear sister of Margie Livesey (Ron) and Lawrence Hall (Gerry); treasured sister-in-law of Larry Triglia and Rose Marie (Jim) Runatz; extended family and all who experienced life with her.

Mary Ellen was born in Pittsburgh and cherished her time growing up in Oakland where she spent countless hours at the Carnegie Library and exploring Schenley Park. Upon graduating from St. Peters High School in the North Side, she worked at J&L Steel, where she met the love of her life and husband of 49 years, Frank. They moved to the "family farm" in Bethel Park, where she caringly raised and nurtured her three children. She tended to her numerous flower beds and spent summers preserving and canning a large variety of fruits and vegetables that they grew and generously shared with the community. She became an excellent scratch baker and was known for her berry pies. Mary Ellen was a life-long learner and had a great curiosity of the natural world, especially birds and insects. She was a voracious reader and was rarely found without an open book or NYT crossword. Mary Ellen was a life-long member of St. Joan of Arc church and volunteered at their fish fry and their SHIM garden well into her 80's. She was full of empathy and acceptance and her sharp wit, laughter, and easy-going manner will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of care, love and selflessness to all who knew her.
