Of Braddock Hills, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026.



Born the daughter of the late George Gimera and the late Irene (Bedlovitz) Gimera.



Beloved wife of the late Raymond Mrazik.



Loving mother of Heather Mrazik, Kurt (Amy) Mrazik, Judith (Craig) Cipriani, and Lynn (James) Boone.



Adored Nana of Casey (fiancé, Matthew Gabriel) Mrazik, David (Taylor) Mrazik, and Erika Mrazik.



Dear sister of Madeline (Jack) Keane; preceded in death by siblings, Margaret Petruna and George Gimera.



Also survived by many nieces and nephews.



Mary Irene had an unwavering Catholic faith that led to her always-present strength. She was a longtime member of St. Maurice Church and was affiliated with the Christian Mothers group. Many will fondly remember the card club she shared with her neighbors. In her retirement, Mary Irene enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, and cooking. Above all else, Mary Irene cared most about family, especially her grandkids. They were the center of her heart, and she took great pride in their lives and accomplishments.



Mary Irene will be remembered for her steadfast kindness, her selfless nature, and her gracious ways. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.



Friends are welcome on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m., at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, 412-824-8800.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, at 12 noon in St. Joseph the Worker Parish (formerly St. Maurice). Everyone is invited to meet directly at church.



Mary Irene will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery beside Ray.
