Mary Kathryn Whitehouse, 93, formerly of McCandless, passed away on May 27, 2026. Born February 8, 1933, in Monona, Iowa to Emil Henry and Dorothy Ellen Rausch, Mary K. graduated from Rock Island, Illinois High School, attended Augustana College and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1955. She was employed by John Deere & Co. as an Executive Secretary until her marriage in 1961 to Richard G. Whitehouse. Mary K. served in various capacities as a member at Orchard Hill Church, Wexford, PA. She enjoyed crafting, shopping, reading, baking, bridge, gardening, dark chocolate, watching sports, and serving others. Mary K. had been a resident of Sherwood Oaks in Cranberry Township, PA since 2019. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; and her brother, Dr. Paul J. Rausch. A devoted mother, she is survived by three children, Glenn Whitehouse of New Brighton, PA, David (Cindy) Whitehouse of Ridgefield, CT and Ellen (Roland) Bendel of New York, NY; two grandchildren, Clare Brown and Henry Whitehouse; and her beloved calico cat Lucy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to World Vision, 210 Overlook Dr, Sewickley, PA 15143. Professional arrangements were entrusted to DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP.
