MARY LOU

Age 90, of Cecil Township, died on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving children. Born in McDonald, PA, to Elmer and Mary Lou (née Demaret) Dumas, she resided in Baldwin for over 20 years and Cecil for over 30 years.

Mary Lou was a nurse who worked for both Woodville and Mayview State hospitals. She retired in 2000 after over 40 years of selfless dedication.

Mary Lou is survived by daughters, Lisa Mott (late husband, RJ) of Baldwin and Karen Palonis and husband, Ron of Canonsburg, and by son, Paul, and wife, Sharon of Upper Saddle River, NJ. She is also survived by five loving grandchildren, Ryan and wife, Sarah Palonis, Chelsea and husband, Zach Alaimo, Jared Mott, Brandon Palonis, and Justin Vasilopoulos; by one adorable grandchild, Vincent Alaimo; and by brothers, Bob and wife, Patsy of Melbourne, Australia, and Tom and wife, Bev of Monroe, MI. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Betty and Joanne.

Mary Lou was a proud mother who always worked hard to give her kids a better life. She loved playing cards (check her sleeves), doing crossword puzzles, watching game shows, and line dancing! She never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand to friends or family, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She was strong and independent, stubborn and impatient, but loving and caring. Everyone she met considered her a friend and would do anything to help her. "We love your mother" was a constant refrain we heard growing up. We loved her too. She will be missed.

Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUER-FRYER. Friends and family are welcome at 430 Washington Ave., Bridgeville, 412-221-3800, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, 4-8 PM, where a blessing service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Woodruff Memorial Park.
