MARY M.
Mary M. Mata, age 92, of Gibsonia, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away on August 21, 2025. Born on June 29, 1933, daughter of the late Anthony LeDonne and Palma Castelli LeDonne. Beloved wife of the late John J. Mata. Loving mother of Susan Koska (Charles) and Maria Riggle (Ron). Dear grandmother of Michael and Nicole Kosko. Sister of John LeDonne, and preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Mary was gifted with the art of poetry, and loved reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was very involved with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, being a caregiver to her parents and husband, and going on family vacations to Marco Island, Florida. After raising her beloved daughters, she loved her job working as a secretary for Forbes Road East Nursing School.
Family will welcome friends on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Richard Church, Sts. Martha and Mary Parish. Interment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
