MARY "MAE"

Age 97, passed peacefully, at Arden Courts, North Hills, Pittsburgh, where she lived for over eight years, early on March 26. She never married; was a devoted daughter to John and Manda Capan who immigrated from farms near Zagreb; sister to Anna; and sister in-law to Bernard "Butch" Albrecht. She was a lifelong Saint Nicholas, Millvale parishioner and benefactor. Before her retirement, she worked for over 40 years for Bell Telephone AT&T and Verizon.

She loved to sing and played bingo regularly with her friends at Javor Croatian Hall on the North Side. She was also a fan of the Duquesne University Tamburitzans.

She is survived by her nephew, Regis Albrecht and wife, Dianne Keller.

Mae was committed wholeheartedly to the preservation of the stunning Maxo Vanka murals in Saint Nicholas, Catholic Church, Millvale.
