MARY MARGARET (CUMMINGS)

Age 82, of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, went home to our Lord peacefully, on November 11, after a brief illness. Loving wife of 50 plus years to the late Eugene "Gene" L. Pilardi. Loving and awesome mother to Robin Gibson (Michael) of Marlborough, Massachusetts; and loving and super-awesome grandmother to Bethany of Marlborough, Massachusetts. Daughter to the late Daniel and Mary (Cloonan) Cummings. Sister to the late Daniel Cummings (Marlene), the late Rita Forbes, and Dorothy Gorman-DePaulo (Vince) of Bethel Park, PA. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Mary began her career at the Pittsburgh Press, where she met her beloved husband, Gene, and began their life together. She worked as a medical receptionist for Eye Specialist, Dr. Martin Winkler, Dr. Unger and UPMC Shadyside, throughout her career.

Mary and Gene loved to sit together watching golf on a lazy Sunday afternoon on TV, and Mary loved reading her newspapers from cover to cover. Mary enjoyed her time with a good book, and with her ever-filled glass of red Crystal-Lite.

A Mass of Christian rite will take place at St. Regis Catholic Church, 517 Homewood Ave., Trafford, PA, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. Interment will take place at a later time, and will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary's name to the Monroeville, PA, Public Library.
