MARY SUSAN "MARY SUE"

Age 80, of Aiken, SC (originally of Pittsburgh, PA), passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026. In accordance with Mary Sue's wishes, no formal services will be held.

Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Phillip Beck, Sr., and Lois Edleman Beck. She was married to the late Carl G. Goshy, Sr. She is survived by three children, Annapurna Nemani, Vijay K. Nemani, and Susheela Nemani-Stanger (David); and three grandchildren, Leela, Nalin, and Ravi. She is also survived by her siblings, Phillip Beck, Jr., and Kathleen Lehman; four stepdaughters, one stepson, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

After training as a nurse at Sewickley Nursing School, Mary Sue joined the U.S. Army, trained at Fort Bliss, Texas, and was stationed at Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox, Kentucky. She cared for countless patients throughout her career at Allegheny General Hospital and with private practices in podiatry and allergy immunology. Her skills also shone in her handiwork crafts such as quilting, sewing, copper metal work, and jewelry making.

Like many people, Mary Sue carried burdens that were not always visible. Her inner battles shaped her relationships and left a complex and enduring legacy. In the end, we, her family, love her and wish her peace.
