MAGULICK
MICHAEL LOUIS
Age 78, of Collier Township, PA (formerly a long-time resident of Bethel Park, PA), passed away peacefully, on June 5, 2026, following a long and hard-fought illness.
Born on September 15, 1947, in Pittsburgh, PA, Mike was the beloved son of the late Michael and Dolores Magulick.
Mike lived a life defined by excellence, integrity, service, and devotion to family. A graduate of South Catholic High School, he went on to earn his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University, where he was a proud member of the IXY fraternity. He later attended Duquesne University School of Law, beginning a distinguished legal career that would span more than four decades.
For over 40 years, Mike practiced law with Wayman, Irvin & McAuley, serving as Managing Partner for much of that time. Widely respected by colleagues, clients, and the legal community, he earned numerous professional accolades throughout his career. Among his many honors, he was recognized as Lawyer of the Year in 2013, 2014, and 2016; named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for six consecutive years; and was repeatedly recognized among Best Lawyers in America by Pittsburgh Magazine. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and achieved the distinction of holding an AV Preeminent Rating since 1978, an honor he considered among his proudest accomplishments, reflecting both his legal ability and unwavering ethical standards.
While Mike was deeply committed to his profession, his greatest fulfillment came from his family and the many communities he served. A longtime member of Oakmont Country Club, he enjoyed golf, fly fishing, and spending time outdoors. He generously gave his time coaching youth athletics and was a tireless advocate for young people. Mike served as President of the Bethel Park Baseball Association and President of Bethel Park Hockey for many years, helping shape opportunities for countless local athletes. He was also a dedicated fundraiser and supporter of the Miracle League of Moon Township, a cause that was especially meaningful to him.
Above all else, Mike was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He rarely missed an opportunity to attend his grandchildren's games, performances, and activities, taking immense pride in each of them. He and his beloved wife, Maryanne, shared 56 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, travel, oldies music, Broadway musicals, and cheering on Pittsburgh sports teams together.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Maryanne; his loving sons, Mike (Christina), Dennis (Alexia) and Christopher (Cassie); and his cherished grandchildren, Lacey, Heidi, Brett, Jack, Luke, Max and Stella, who lovingly knew him as PapPap. He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis Magulick and Eddie (Kathleen) Magulick; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Maureen Lynch, Connie Hogya and Kimberly Magulick.
Mike will be remembered for his sharp intellect, steady leadership, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to the people he loved. His legacy lives on through his family, his profession, and the countless lives he touched throughout his remarkable life.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Blessing Service at 4:00 p.m., at PITTSBURGH CREMATION & FUNERAL CARE, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.
