After a short illness, on August 8, 2025, age 89, of McMurray. Predeceased by his cherished wife, Joanne (Henry) McElligott; and by his siblings and in-laws, Sally Gemperle (Jim), Danny McElligott, Taddy Murray (John), and Tommy McElligott (Mary). Survived by his sons, Jake McElligott (Julie) and Marty McElligott (Erika); and eight grandchildren, Madeleine, Maeve, Catherine, Martha, Joseph, Anna, Peter, and Brigid. Also survived by brothers, Bill McElligott (Maureen) and Frank McElligott (Carol); many loving nieces and nephews; and his brother-in-law, Joseph Henry, who cared for him in his final illness. Mike constantly employed his Irish wit and was generous to everyone, especially the members of the McElligott, McKinnon, and Mahoney families; his deceased friends, Kenny Walker and Frankie Meehan; and his deceased cousin, Francie Dunn, with whom he was very close. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 10 AM, at Resurrection Parish (St. Thomas More Church), 126 Fort Couch Road, Bethel Park, PA. Interment will be private.
