MICHAEL (MIKE) CARROLL Obituary
Michael (Mike) Carroll, of Austin, CO, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the age of 64. Born in Bedford County, PA to Edward and Marilyn Carroll he grew up in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, attending Hampton HS. He moved to the Western Slope of Colorado, where he married the love of his life, Judy Davies, in 1997. Mike worked as a skilled machinist for most of his life, starting at Tippins in Etna. He was a compassionate husband and father and brother. An avid reader, Mike enjoyed fishing and traveling, and advocated for the humane treatment of animals. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marilyn Carroll and his brothers, Kevin and John Carroll. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Judy Davies; siblings, Rebecca (Wayne) Ward, Richard (Joyce) Carroll, Mary Sue (Erik) Osby, Tom (David) Carroll, and Paul (Sandy) Carroll; children, Justin (Rachel) Carroll, Jason Carroll, and Jeanann Harris; grandchildren, Emma, Brielyn and Shane; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private memorial will be held in late spring this year with close friends and family to scatter his ashes on Grand Mesa in Colorado.
