MICHELE J. "MICKEY"

Age 71, of Canonsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025.

Professionally, Mickey spent over 30 years as a teacher for the Pittsburgh Public School district. Math was her jam and sudoku was her game. In her spare time, she loved going to her weekly Tuesday movies and could always be found at a craft fair.

She was known to be very reliable, always willing to lend a helping hand and spoiling friends and family when she could. If you needed something done, you could ask Mickey. From crafting blankets for charity or picking out an outfit, she was always making sure it was "Mickey-ized." She had an eye for perfect, coordinated outfits and was always meticulously put together. Mickey was loved by many, and her presence will be greatly missed.

Mickey is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Cummings; son, Joseph (Jeray) Hinda; granddaughter, Lyla; her twin brother, Michael; sisters, Clare, Nellie and Mary Beth; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Bernice Ratway.

Friends and family will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., on Monday, November 3, 2025, at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236. Please be aware of road construction on Curry Hollow Road. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be handled by Jefferson Memorial Park.
