MONA L. STARR Obituary

McKeesport - Mona L. Starr, 79, of McKeesport, died Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Concordia at Weatherwood, Greensburg. She was born May 24, 1946, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William and Charlene (Sadler) Wehrer. Mona was a former nurse's assistant at LifeCare Hospitals, Pittsburgh. She enjoyed her coffee, loved the outdoors, ceramics, playing bingo, and karaoke. Most of all, she was a loving mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Byers; and a sister, Judy Cusick. She is survived by her husband of over 22 years, Allan J. Starr; her children, Jeffrey Byers (Barbara), Joseph Selembo (Tracey), Pasquale Marasco (Diane); her step-daughters, Krissy Starr (Scott) and Jennifer Starr (Kevin Randall); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Lynda Matesic (the late Frank), Darlene Holmes (the late Paul), and Barry Wehrer (the late Kim); also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the FORGIE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway Ave., East McKeesport, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Interment will be in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
