MORGAN EARL
Morgan Earl Kommer, age 78, of Upper St. Clair, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026. Born in Dunkirk, NY, he was the son of the late Earl and Doris Kommer, brother of the late Carol Kommer, and the beloved husband of Karol G. Kommer.
A resident of the area for most of his life, Morgan was a retired Environmental Engineer at Alcoa. During his career, he traveled internationally, managing Alcoa's global portfolio. Morgan graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1965, where he lettered in football and basketball. He went on to graduate from SUNY Buffalo, where he lettered in football and tennis, and later earned a graduate degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
Morgan was an avid Steelers and Pitt football fan who rarely missed a game. He found great joy in woodworking and connecting with his lifelong friends from high school and college. An enthusiast of the outdoors, he especially loved spending time at Deep Creek Lake. His happiest moments, however, were spent with his family and grandchildren.
Loving father of Eric (Rhiannon) Kommer of Upper St. Clair and Ashley (Joseph) DeJonckheere of Cincinnati, OH; devoted grandfather of Keefer, Marshall, Harris, Vivian, and Eleanor.
