MYRON A. YEATES Obituary
On Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Husband of the late Joan Yeates; beloved father of Janet Snak (Jim Openbrier), Barbara Yeates (Jeff Danziger) and James Yeates (Jennifer White); grandfather of Lindsay (Wayne) Polley and Chelsey (Frank) Hunter; great-grandfather of Caden, Nixon, Bishop, Ezra and Selah; brother of Miriam (Don) Mains of Harrisburg, PA and Myrna Smith of Georgia; brother-in-law of Michael (Sharon) Andrezik and Thomas Andrezik; also survived by generations of nieces and nephews and his doting cat, Pookie.
Myron retired from the Port Authority after 37 years of service. He was a lifelong member of the Glendale Volunteer Fire Department, the SNPJ Lodge 6 Sygan, and the Centennial - LaFayette Lodge 544.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-7pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. Parting prayers will be said on Monday at 11am at the funeral home. Following the prayers, Myron will be entombed with his wife, Joan, in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
