LITTLE
MYRON
Myron was born on July 11, 1948 to Edith L. Little and Eddie Little in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He was raised in the Hill District and graduated from Fifth Avenue High School. Myron was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eddie Little Jr.
Myron answered his country's call and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era. Upon returning home, he became a member of the Pittsburgh Steel Union, Local Union #3. Myron was part of the construction crew that helped erect the U.S. Steel Tower (UPMC Tower in downtown Pittsburgh) and the Birmingham Bridge, monuments that still stand today as a testament to the men who built them.
Later, Myron transitioned into a career of service to others, joining Abraxas Youth & Family Services, a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit dedicated to building better futures for at-risk youth and families through residential treatment, counseling, alternative education, and community-based programs.
Outside of work, Myron had a deep appreciation for jazz, particularly the music of Lee Morgan, Art Blakey, Stanley Turrentine, Horace Silver, Kenny Garrett, George Benson; he understood and cherished jazz in a personal way. He was a devoted Pittsburgh Pirates fan and a die-hard Steelers supporter though he was known to skip night games, citing a need to "protect his blood pressure".
In retirement, Myron finally had all the time in the world to do what he loved most and he made every moment count. He and his beloved wife Sylvia were devoted fishing companions; if there was water nearby, chances were Myron and Sylvia were not far from it, whether lakeside, riverside, or oceanside.
Myron also had a signature style that was entirely his own. After years in professional dress, retirement gave him the freedom to lean into his true aesthetic: crisp polo shirts, relaxed-fit jeans, a baseball cap, and his beloved Air Jordan sneakers.
On February 19, 2026, Myron Little peacefully transitioned surrounded by family. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Sylvia Cromwell-Little; and his beloved children, Dawn Little-Johnson (Raymond Johnson), Laquieta Little, Ebony Addo, Jaqueline Hale, and Jamar Cromwell Little.
He was a proud grandfather to fourteen grandchildren: Tarron Shelton, Reginald Hudson, Tyree Little, Carlee Little, Cameron Little, Kiarra Little, Kenton Little, Carlos Little, Tyreek Hayes, Bria Carlisle-Thaniel, Brittany Knight, Corie Addo, Rafiyq Cromwell, and Lenell Hale, Jr.; and a loving great-grandfather to a host of great-grandchildren. His Aunt, Margie Washington, of Maryland and a cherished circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
