NANCY CHRISTINE "CHRIS" (HOBBINS)

Nancy Christine "Chris" Cortinovis (Hobbins), 77, of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on July 21, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on November 13, 1949, Chris was the beloved daughter of Nancy and Frederick Hobbins.

Chris dedicated her professional life to education. A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she served as a teacher at Steel Valley Elementary for her entire career.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry J. Cortinovis.

Chris is lovingly remembered by her sons, Douglas Ryan Cortinovis and Jonathan Hobbins Cortinovis (Lisa); her cherished granddaughters, Addyson and Cecelia; her sister, Linda Suzanne Morsek (Tom); her niece, Maureen; sisters-in-law, Janet Cortinovis (Chuck) and Joan Johnson (Bob), her nieces and nephews, Kristen, Bradly, and Erica; and many extended family members and dear friends. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Coco, whose companionship brought her comfort and joy.

Chris found joy in spending time with her family, doting on her beloved granddaughters, traveling, and spending time with friends.

In accordance with Chris's wishes, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation or Cancer Research Institute in Chris's memory.
