PATRICIA A.

Patricia A. Swetoha, age 85, of Pittsburgh, PA, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on July 19, 2025.

Born March 21, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rita Sklopan; and sister of the late Brother Timothy Sklopan O'Carm.

Patty worked as a nurse's aide for St. John's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, and retired from Compucom, Inc., where she was a microfiche technician. She was a devout catholic and found comfort and peace in her faith. She was a dedicated mentor to the Youth program at the then Risen Lord Parish, Pittsburgh, PA, where she nurtured the hearts and minds of the youth in the parish.

Patty enjoyed sitting on her front porch, talking with and waving to neighbors, and her home was open to all. She made an impact on the lives of many, and will be remembered as an amazing mother for her strength, kindness and generous heart.

She will be forever missed.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Swetoha (Susan), Timothy Swetoha (Darlene), Gregory Swetoha, Michelle Swetoha, and Lori Swetoha Ortiz (Javier). Her grandchildren included Sebastian, Jon, Morgan, Victoria, Sabrina, Ava, Matthew, Sophia, Alex, Austin, Andrew and Javier. And, last but not least, her beloved pup, Charlie. Yes, at 81 years of age, she had to get a puppy!

Friends received Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., at the LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Boniface Church, East Street. Burial will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
