PATRICIA "PAT" ANN (MASON)

Patricia "Pat" Ann (Mason) Speciale, age 80, of Shaler, passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by family, on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was born on January 13, 1945, in Allegheny County, to the late Duane and Georgianna (Messenger) Mason. Patricia was also preceded in death by siblings, Carol and Robert; and granddaughter, Madison.

Patricia was a member of Regina Coeli Parish in Bellevue. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her family, sunsets, horses, gardening and Pittsburgh Sports.

Throughout her life, Patricia worked in childcare, including daycare and as an elementary school lunchroom monitor and cared for her grandchildren, which was the joy of her life. She was also known for making the best potato salad and peanut butter cookies, as she loved to cook and bake for her family.

Patricia is survived and missed by her husband of 62 years, Peter Speciale; and by her children, Peter (Nancy), William (Connie), Janet (Joe Guerra) and Matthew (Lori). Forever cherished and remembered by her eight grandchildren, Amber (Daniel Koller), Sean (Alyssa), Peter II (Katie), Cory, Hannah (Bobby Reed), Patrick, Matthew, Jr. and Michael; and by great-grandchildren, Oliver, Oni, Luca, Madelyn, Aria Koller and Hazel Reed. She also leaves behind her beloved dog and faithful companion, Harley.

Also surviving Patricia are her siblings, Kathy, Linda, Duane, William (Barbara) and Don; sister-in-law Sally Hiben; brother-in-law Anthony; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed the family is for all the care Patricia was given by healthcare providers from AHN and DCI (dialysis).

Family and friends received from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue. Blessing Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
