PAUL DAVID

Departed this world for his next adventure on December 6, 2025, just five days after celebrating his 82nd birthday.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elissa; his son, Michael; and his brother, Tim. He is survived by his brother, John; and his four "adopted" grandchildren, Callie, Sam, Kathleen, and Austin, who brought him endless entertainment.

A talented musician, Paul spent many years performing with the Pittsburgh Banjo Club and sharing his love of music with anyone willing to listen. He enjoyed his years spent with Michael in Scouts and supporting the Penn Hills High School band and was a proud longtime member of the Thaddeus Stevens Fire Hall in Penn Hills. Paul and Elissa shared a deep love of travel, exploring far-flung corners of the globe together and collecting countless stories, souvenirs, and friendships.

Paul delighted in walking the fine line between curmudgeon and rascal, keeping everyone on their toes with his wit and mischief. Though he would have grumbled at the compliment, he brought a smile to nearly everyone he met. His humor and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He chose to spend his final years at Concordia of Monroeville, where he found a wonderful community of friends and caring staff. His family extends their deep and heartfelt gratitude to all who shared in his laughter, companionship, and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Hospital Heart Camp, a program that brought great joy to his family during Michael's life. https://www.justgiving.com/page/chp-heartcamp

Friends received Tuesday, from 1-3 and 5-7, at CHARLES W. TRENZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11110 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.
