Pauline A. DeSimone, age 84, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 10, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Sal DeSimone; her children, Anthony (Kathy) DeSimone, Michelle (Joe) Balobeck, Karen (Kenny) Palmer; and her grandchildren, Louie, Zachary (Kathryn) and Julia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Catherine Merendino; and her sister, Teresa; brother, Anthony; and her sister, Angela. She is survived by her sister, MaryLinda.

Pauline was born on June 30, 1940, in the Bloomfield area of Pittsburgh but raised her family in the Shadyside area where she lived for over 60 years. She worked for Sacred Heart in Shadyside for over 30 years as well as being a lifelong parishioner and served on the board of Sacred Heart Church Woman's Guild for 10 years. Pauline also served as a Democratic Committee Woman for over 15 years. Her infectious laugh will be missed by all of her community, her friends, and her family. Friends will be received at JOHN A. Interment in the National Cemeteries of the Alleghenies will be private.
