PERRY WILLIAM

Perry William Kratsa, 86, of West Deer Township, formerly of Harmar Township and Verona, passed away peacefully in his home on November 23, 2025, with his family by his side. Perry was known for his kind soul and wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed prank calls and practical jokes with all his friends. He almost never spoke ill of anyone he knew, and he rarely complained, instead choosing to always find a way to laugh about almost any situation. His forgiving nature was legendary. He was affectionately called, "Periwinkle" by his mother and one of his favorite hobbies was baking with his dad in the family bakery. Perry was an exceptionally talented musician, which was a source of great pride for his father. He played several instruments in Billy-Kay's Big Band for decades. Perry had a strong Christian faith. He was blessed with a specific gift of praying for healing. It was a gift he would share without hesitation for anyone who asked. And often without being asked, whenever he felt led to do so.

Perry is survived by his wife, Diana Fay (Rehner) Kratsa; his five children: Stamatia Kratsa Saffo and her husband Nicholas of Wilmington, NC, Nina Cathrine Kratsa and her husband Joe Cooney of New York, NY, Perry Caleb Kratsa and his wife Anita of Wilmington, NC, Joshua William Kratsa and his wife Kristi of Brattleboro, VT, Marion "Mimi" Alise Carson and her husband John of Indiana Township. His 16 grandchildren: Taylor Saffo and his wife Megan, Avery Saffo and his wife Amelia, Dea Saffo, Perry Saffo, and Angelia Saffo, Spencer Cooney and Margaux Cooney, Amalia Kratsa, Stella Kratsa and Helena Kratsa, Adeline Loyal, Elliot Loyal, Mary Kratsa and Nina Kratsa, Lena Carson and John Carson; and his great-granddaughter, Aella Saffo.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents, William Perry Kratsa, Sr. and Stella N. Loizes Kratsa; and his sister, Mary Kratsa.
