Passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. He was 83. Phil, fondly known by friends as "Too Tall" or "Uncle Phil," was born in Pittsburgh on March 12, 1943, to Lora (Peggy) Weidner and Philip J. Davidson. He graduated from Tulane University. He was a member of Fox Chapel Golf Club for over 65 years and Rolling Rock Club, where he was an avid golfer and a great shot.
Beloved husband of Laurie (Kyle) Davidson for 60 years. Loving father of Diane Kyle Davidson Copas and Laurie Weidner Davidson; cherished grandfather of Taylor, Cameron, Tristan, and Estella; brother of William Jeffrey (Helen) Davidson; also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
