RAYMOND A. "TOOTS"


Age 88, of Union Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 28, 2026.



Born on May 8, 1937, he was the son of the late Paul and Johanna Bazach Hruby.



Ray was an avid hunter, fisherman, snowmobiler, quad rider, and casino gamer. He also enjoyed traveling on vacations and spending time with his family. He started his building restoration business (Monongahela Building Maintenance) at the age of 22 and successfully led it for over 61 years.



He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Georgie L. Hruby; son, Raymond A. Hruby, Jr. (Mary); son, Timothy J. Hruby (Donna); daughter, Lisa Lee (Hruby) Bazalewski (Michael); son, Michael P. Hruby (Heather); grandchildren, Michael J. Bazalewski (Julie), Patrick C. Bazalewski, Taylor R. Munster (Craig), Alicia M. Hruby, Rachel R. Hruby, and Michaela L. Hruby; step-grandchild, Adam P. Dearborn (Hannah); and great-grandchildren, Ariel J. Munster and Noah J. Bazalewski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by brothers, Robert, Paul, Sylvester, Edward, Alfred, John, David, Emil, William, and Arthur; and sisters, Margaret Benczo, Velma Galiffa, Mary Patik, and Florence Huntoon.



Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in KEGEL FUNERAL HOME, INC., David P. Kegel, Supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. A Blessing Service will begin at 10am Thursday in the Funeral Home with interment following in Mon Valley Memorial Park. Memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation (www.parkinson.org).
