RAYMOND H.
Raymond H. Nalepa, age 87, of Gibsonia, formerly of Chicora and Valencia, passed on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 5, 1937, and raised in Lawrenceville, he was the son of the late Henry Nalepa and Helen Cadach Nalepa. Beloved husband of Gail Schumacher Nalepa (m. 1999) and predeceased by his first wife, the late Lois Weigand Nalepa. Loving father of Deborah Frazier (Paul), Kim Morrison (Doug), Karen Wise (Bill), and Raymond Nalepa (Tammi). Also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Ray was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Bader (Ronald); half sister Judith Thomas; half brother Henry Nalepa, Jr.; and step-sister, Prescilla Marsilli.
Friends received 5-8 p.m. on Sunday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, PA, where a blessing services will be held following visitation at 7 p.m. Private interment to follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
A U.S. Navy Veteran, Ray served on the U.S.S. Lake Champlain and on embassy duty in London, England. He worked as a distributor for Voortman Cookies and Hostess Cake/Braun Baking. Ray was always the one to make family and friends laugh with his quick wit and jokes. He loved his horses, especially riding and traveling to watch horse shows & horse racing. Ray also enjoyed visiting various casinos.
