RAYMOND P. HELLER Obituary

Allison Park - Raymond P. Heller, 70, of Allison Park, Pennsylvania passed unexpectedly at his home on November 8, 2025. He was born April 19, 1955, in Nazareth Pennsylvania, the son of Reuben and Mildred (Krenitsky) Heller.


Mr. Heller was preceded in death by his father, Reuben Heller. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Alexa Romano Heller and his three children and their families, Christopher Heller and his wife Rachel Twist Heller and their son Hayes, his daughter Samantha Heller Blaser and her husband Jonathan Blaser and their two daughters Stella and Luna and his daughter Rachel Heller and her partner Traci Judge. He is also survived by his mother Mildred Heller and his sister Sandy Tanzos her husband John Tanzos as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws.


Ray graduated from Leigh University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. It was at Lehigh that he met Alexa Romano, his college sweetheart. The two married in 1979. He received his MBA from University of Pittsburgh and spent his engineering career working for PPG in Pittsburgh. His work took him around the world, but he was always anxious to get back home.


The two loves of his life were his family and his music. Ray and Alexa enjoyed 50 wonderful years together. Spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren was the most important thing in Ray's life. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. When Ray was not with family, he was playing one of his many horns. He was a member of the Lehigh University Alumni Band for 45 years. He also played locally in the Alleghany Brass Band and the Northern Pittsburgh Symphonic Band. Ray was a talented musician and a wonderful bandmate.


A Celebration of Life will be held at Hampton Presbyterian Church on December 7, 2025, between 3:00 and 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Farina Foundation (farinafoundation.org), an organization dedicated to helping children pursue their musical dreams.
