MACNEILL
RICHARD AUL
Age 81, of Crafton Heights, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Southwestern Veterans Center, Pittsburgh. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 7, 1944, and was a son of the late William Nelson MacNeill and Grace Ann (Rodkey) MacNeill.
Richard was a retired railroad draftsman.
He was a proud veteran, having served with the US Army during Vietnam. He was a life member of American Legion Post #80, where he served as Sergeant at Arms, and was a Gold Circle Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of St. Philip Catholic Church, Crafton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathleen Jane (Dergance) MacNeill; and his brothers, Bill MacNeill and Bob MacNeill. Richard is survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia A. Blauth; and his brother-in-law, Michael Dergance; and by nieces and nephews.
Per Richard's request, there will be no visitation, and the service and interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be private.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall.
