RICHARD "DICK"

Age 89 of McCandless died Tuesday, May 19, 2026. He was one of nine children born in Erie to Kenneth Wright and Margaret (Joe) Wright. Beloved husband for 63 years of Mary Margaret (Henry) Wright. Father of R. Michael (Heather Tillman) Wright, of Pittsburgh and M. Michele (Darryl Walker) Johnson of Cannon Beach, OR. Surviving siblings are Mary (R A) Orlando, of Erie, Kenneth (Jan) Wright, of Johnstown; Edward Wright, of Encino, CA and Shirley (Ray) Sybyl, of Rocky River, OH; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Monday, May 25, 2026, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m., at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Hwy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Epiphany Catholic Church, Divine Mercy Parish, 164 Washington Place, Pgh., PA 15219.
