Age 77, he grew up in Mooncrest, moved to Coraopolis in the 1970s, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Moon Township, on September 22, 1948, to the late Olive (Miller) Sneed. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Wiley Gilpin. Beloved husband to Darlene (Muska) Parke (just celebrating 50 years on November 22, 2025); loving father of Jocelyn Ridjaneck and husband, Mark and Kristi Brubaker and husband, Mike; cherished grandfather of Lily, Blaire and Reid; uncle of Edward Wiley and wife, Ceelin, Charles Wiley and wife, Cindy, and Dana Hull and husband, Paul. Rich graduated from Moon Area High School, class of 1966. Rich was proud to serve in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. After Vietnam, he was the friendly mail carrier working as a letter carrier for the USPS, retiring in 2008. He then went to work for STA, until he retired in 2022. Rich loved sports. For many years, he coached Pee Wee Football for CYAA, was assistant coach to both Cornell Junior High and Senior High Football and kept score for Cornell High School Basketball. He was the biggest fan, attending all of the sports games of his grandchildren, rooting them on, and giving them instruction in baseball, soccer and softball. Rich and Darlene had season tickets to the Pitt Football Games. They also like to go to the Casinos. Visitation, Sunday, 2-4 P.M., 6-8 P.M., at COPELAND'S CORAOPOLIS, 867 Fifth Ave., where Service will be held on Monday, at 10 A.M. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at Coraopolis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his name to Disabled American Veterans.
