RICHARD LEWIS "DICK" ROBERTS Obituary
ROBERTS
RICHARD LEWIS "DICK"
At age 94, Richard "Dick" Roberts passed away peacefully in Pittsburgh, PA, surrounded by family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Born to Mary and David Stanley Roberts in Utica, NY, Dick later moved to the Syracuse area. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the USS Pittsburgh and the USS Missouri. After his service, he married Shirley Disotell, his beloved wife, and built a successful career in the flooring industry. He cherished his retirement role at the public library in Brewerton and was a passionate pocketknife collector. Dick enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing cards with friends.
He is survived by his three children, Gloria (Dominic) Sciarappa, Richard (Jane) Roberts II, and Rock (DiAnne) Roberts; along with ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley; his parents; and siblings, Stanley, Lawrence, John, Michael, Thomas, and Mary.
Dickie, Rock, and family could not be more grateful to Gloria and Dominic for their devoted care during Dick's final years.
