KIRSCHLER
RICHARD SCOTT
On February 19, 2025, Richard Scott Kirschler, 83, of Glenshaw, and formerly of Richland Township, beloved husband of 61 years to the late Susan P. Kirschler, passed away peacefully with the presence of his loving son by his side.
He is survived by his son, J. Andrew Kirschler; and leaves a legacy as the cherished grandfather, affectionately known as pop-pop, to Jake (Emma), Hannah, River, Abigail, Jack, and Chris Kirschler. He was preceded in death by his firstborn, the late R. Scott Kirschler, Jr.; and his parents, the late Richard Martin and Olive Kirschler.
A proud 1963 graduate of Westminster College, Scott enjoyed a long and fulfilling sales career with Proctor and Gamble's packaged soap division. In retirement, he embraced life's adventures by wintering in Bradenton, FL, and traveling internationally with his partner, Arlene Sargeant. His weekly breakfasts with longtime friends and rounds of golf with fellow P&G retirees were simple pleasures that brought him endless happiness.
Scott's deep Christian faith was a constant source of strength, nurtured through his longtime involvement with Hiland Presbyterian and Palmetto Presbyterian.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. (7720 Perry Highway), from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., with a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m., at Hiland Presbyterian Church (845 Perry Highway).
